MARY FRANZ, also known by her stage name: CLARA RISU is a professional singer who performs with a great team of musicians. With over 30 years of experience, they perform genres such as Pop, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Jpop and City Pop – focusing on classic international hits from the last 50 years with a modern twist. The band also plays their original songs for original music events and can perform songs in English, Japanese, Spanish and Filipino. The band can travel to perform all throughout the UK and abroad.
The band is classy and versatile- playing songs of any genre and add their own twist to it. They can offer a bespoke package and play any event and venue (from high-end to smaller budget events). The band can play quietly and tastefully and have a jazz soul vibe for intimate and quieter gigs. They can also play classic party tracks with modern additions depending on what suits the venue/event and what’s required.

MARY FRANZ performs under the name CLARA RISU is a talented and professional lead singer with 25 years of experience and a UK qualified English and Performing Arts teacher. Described as ‘Soulful with a smooth yet powerful voice’ for any genre, Clara can sing in a variety of styles such as Soul, Pop, Country, Jazz, R&B, Rock and Blues. Clara can also sing in multiple languages such as English, Spanish, Japanese and Filipino.

Guitarist: Tom
Tom is a talented and professional lead guitarist, songwriter and a guitar teacher. He has performed for various bands for over 15 years and specialises in Blues and Rock.

Pianist/Keyboardist: TORSTEN
Torsten is a pianist, keyboardist and composer based in Bristol. He covers a wide variety of different genres and styles, including jazz, classical, rock, electronic and dub. He has released several EPs and two albums with the bands Hexcut and Prudent Primate, as well as releasing a solo piano EP under his own name. He is also part of producer collective Paper Dragon, who have had tracks played on BBC Radio One. Career highlights include four nights playing at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, and performing at major UK festivals such as Boomtown and Glastonbury.
